Summary:

You are a Merc for hire, wandering into a kingdom that's in constant war with another faction. You are hired, cause you are cheap... are you up for the task?

Our game would be a fast-paced action game where you must travel through the level to the end while attacking enemies. The player can attack enemies using weapons like swords, spears, and shields which each have their pros and cons. The player also has a time limit to complete the level in order to be successful. The enemies that you may encounter could be slimes, bats, skeletons werewolves, and more. Be wary that each enemy may have different behaviors and movement patterns to each other. You may also encounter "The Big Bad" in your adventure.

Player Controls:

Movement - 'WASD' moves the player up, left, down, and right respectively.

Attacking - Hold 'Left Click' to automatically attack in the direction of your mouse. There will be a short recharge time between attacks

Perfect Attack - Release 'Left Click' when the weapon is yellow during your attack to do a perfect attack. Performing a perfect attack will grant the player a critical hit towards the enemy and also a speed boost. However, if you mistime this, you won't land the hit.

Picking up a weapon - Press "E" to pick up and equip a dropped weapon after defeating an enemy or opening a treasure chest. You will swap the weapon you have equipped if you already have a weapon equipped.

Weapons:

Shield - The shield is a weapon which requires close proximity to the enemies. You attack by thrusting the shield at the enemy. It has a smaller attack range compared to the other weapons, so be careful. To make up for this, you can use 'Right Click' to sweep the area in front of you. Upon successfully hitting an enemy, they will be stunned, and you can press left click to instantly do a perfect attack. However, missing this stun will have the same effect as mistiming your attack.

Sword - The sword is a weapon that excels at wide-sweeping attacks. It does more damage than the other weapons and hits in a wider area in front of the player. A perfect attack will allow you to attack early and deal more damage. However, the sword is not as quick as the spear, so facing many enemies at once could result in an unfortunate outcome.

Spear - The spear is the perfect weapon for maintaining distance. You will thrust it forward in a line and can hit many enemies if they are lined up correctly. A perfect attack will allow you to attack early and have no recharge time, meaning you can attack again instantly. However, if you are surrounded, you may find it hard to attack all enemies around you.

Fists - The fists are used when your weapons break. It may not be that strong, but it can still defeat enemies when there are no weapons left. Use the fists to defeat enemies and pick up any weapon that is dropped.

Upgrades:

Every time you defeat an enemy, you get points. These points can build up which can be used to upgrade your player before starting the next level. If you do not decide to spend these points, you may save it for a later level. Once the points are spent, the bought upgrades are only active for that specific level. Should you spend points equally on each level or save them for a tough level is all up to you! Be wary that if you are defeated on any level, you will lose your points so spend wisely. All upgrades can stack. These upgrades are:

• Extra Attack Damage
• Extra Movement Speed
• Extra Attack Speed
• 10-second delay to the start of the 5-minute timer.
